An Emeryville ribbon-cutting, complete with giant scissors!

Filed under: General — sforbes @ 12:30 pm

T324′s David Daniels recently visited new Emeryville Chamber of Commerce member Cityline Event Center for a ribbon-cutting and tour. Cityline is an event center housed in a beautiful century-old building on the Oakland/Emeryville border, available for private and corporate events.

We really value our relationship with the Emeryville Chamber and the hard work of Bob Cantor and Orah Goldman, and it’s great to go to these events and see old friends and get to know new businesses in the community. (more…)

Living local at Dinner With Albany

Filed under: News — sforbes @ 12:59 pm

What a great event Dinner With Albany is! We’re so glad we participated and got to see the community engaged in such a relaxing, delightful way. Solano Avenue was a sea of tables (nearly 300!) when the event started at 5:30, with dozen of green-shirted Albany High teens running around.Dinner with Albany by Flickred!/JasonHolmberg By 6pm the crowds were pouring in to the closed-off blocks and by 6:45, every table was full of laughing neighbors.

Many groups had decorated their tables elaborately; we particularly liked the gothic Halloween-themed tables next door to ours! Solano Avenue Association Executive Director and Events Manager Allen Cain was on hand and stopped by to visit. The music from Bill Evans and Bangers & Grass was wonderful classic bluegrass, and you could hear it perfectly thanks to speakers installed along the street. (lovely picture by Flickr user Flickred!)

Our favorite East Bay pizza palace, the amazing Little Star, was booked solid, so we went with delicious Indian takeout from the busy folks at ever-popular Cafe Raj.

What can you see out your window? A webcam can be a fun addition to your website!

Filed under: General — sforbes @ 2:13 pm

This is the view from T324′s storefront webcam on one of our gorgeous Bay Area Fall days. Our little section of Solano is so charming and old-fashioned- it has the same feeling of traveling back in time that much of Alameda has. And you can see our shiny new Bike-shaped Bike Rack! If your business has a storefront and looks out on an interesting street, why not add a webcam? It’s a very affordable way to share your view of the world with your customers, and it’s a fun interactive feature- visitors to our site can point the camera themselves!

Coming up- Dinner with Albany, a community celebration!

This is a great event that happens right on T324′s doorstep, and we’re really looking forward to sharing a meal with the whole neighborhood! Plus live music from great local banjolier Bill Evans! We’ll have a table decorated with blue and yellow things, and we hope you’ll stop by and say hi!

From the City of Albany’s website:

Dinner With Albany III is an incredible community event that features a sit-down dinner on Solano Avenue to celebrate our community by sharing a meal with friends, family and neighbors. The event was originally created to celebrate the city’s centennial in 2008 and it was such a huge success it has become a biennial event.

On Saturday, September 29, 2012, nearly 300 dinner tables will be placed in the middle of Solano Avenue (between San Pablo & Talbot Avenues) for dinner under a canopy of lights. At 6:45 pm, the dinner bell will ring and we will toast to our wonderful community! Attendees are encouraged to bring a pot luck from home, buy food from local participating restaurants at the event or pre-order food from your favorite local eatery and bring it with you. (more…)
